Hello and welcome back to another episode of the 120 Second Recruitment Podcast. This week I’m joined by Craig Howard he’s head of sales at AiRecruiter. Thank you so much for coming on Craig, your first question is “what is your best sales tip”?
first of all thanks a lot for inviting me Callum great to be here and to go on the podcast. So my best sales tip is probably one of the first things that I was ever taught in the world of sales. It’s a bit of an old one but it’s one of these things that a lot of self professionals forget. It’s simply the fact that you’ve got two ears and one mouth and use them in proportion. So you know in layman’s terms listen twice as much as you talk. The number of times that you will pick up real gems during the sales cycle just by shutting up it’s unbelievable! So that’s my number one tip.
I think that’s definitely some advice could take, to be honest, that’s brilliant and your second question Craig is “why is tech important in recruitment”?
Well, tech’s important in recruitment for many different reasons. Importantly it’s to help recruiters become more productive you know you can use tech now to find talent a lot quicker, to find talent that’s in your database quicker, to increase productivity to schedule emails, to save time. Ultimately is to get more out. Recruiters are high-performance people so it’s getting that extra little percentages that can really start to make a difference and ultimately help increase revenue
